Do you want to improve your public speaking skills but aren't sure how to start? Why not practice in a fun & welcoming group? Give a lightning talk with us! We'll help you brainstorm topics & give you tips on presenting it. No experience (or prepared talk) necessary.
In this workshop, we'll brainstorm topics together, & then work alone or in small groups to write a short (3-5) minute talk. You'll then present it to a small group & get feedback.
Don't forget to bring a laptop.
* Write/Speak/Code is for non-binary people & women, cis & trans, & is emphatically trans & queer friendly.
We define "software developer" as anyone who has written a line of code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Java, whatever) & can explain what it does.
