<P><SPAN><SPAN><I><SPAN>We areinvitingBrooklyn's Education Leaders, Superintendents, Principals, Parent Coordinators, & Community Education Councils to attend.</SPAN><SPAN>T</SPAN><SPAN>ogether, we will work to address an enduring problem - the lack of women & people of color in the S.T.E.A.M. fields. This is the express goal of the Sankofa Global Project. </SPAN></I></SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN><SPAN><I><SPAN>Far too often, the problem</SPAN><SPAN>is pervasive in under-represented school communities, where many of the glaring disparities begin. Low rates of access to S.T.E.A.M. internships, fellowships, mentorship, entrepreneurial endeavors, resources, & employment lead to limitations on innovation, global incompetence, apathy, indifference, timidity, & subordination. As you are well aware, the</SPAN><SPAN>Sankofa Global Project has created programs, curricula, & initiatives specifically designed to assist under-served students in gaining access to an education that provides a thorough S.T.E.A.M. curricula. In addition, the Sankofa Global Project assists students in exploring career & global opportunities in the S.T.E.A.M. fields.</SPAN></I></SPAN></SPAN></P>
<P><SPAN><I><SPAN><SPAN>We are honored that Borough President<A TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer noopener nofollow noopener noreferrer nofollow nofollow noreferrer nofollow">Eric Adams</A>, Deputy Borough President Diana Reyna, & Jeff Lowell, Deputy Policy Director, are scheduled to speak at the conference & serve as a panelists. Michael Zigman of NYC First, Errol King of Google Code Next, Dr.</SPAN><SPAN>Cristine L Chisholm, Desiree Watson of Wellness Interactive, Gordon Smith of Codesters, & John Ellrodt of</SPAN>Global Writes & Digital Age Learning, Sederick Dawkins & Mohmed Moustafa of NYU School of Engineering students, as well as others, are scheduled to participate as panelists. An Added bonus: Participants will engage in hands-on demonstrations!</SPAN></I></SPAN></P>
