    Dan Honig, Owner,Happy Valley Meat

Dan Honig is the founder of Happy Valley Meat Company (HVM), a Brooklyn based meat distributor that connects agricultural communities with hungry folks around the northeast. HVMs mission is to provide a better life for the people & animals that feed us.

Dan entered the meat world after an academic stint that culminated in the belief that the conventional food system is ethically indefensible. The standard operations of the US meat system hurt the farmers that grow, the people that eat & the animals that are our food. HVM is an answer to this broken system.

    David Koretz, Co-Founder & CEO,SlantShack Jerky

David Koretz has led SlantShack as Co-Founder & CEO since its infancy at Smorgasburg, building out its supply chain & securing placement at retailers throughout the Northeast. David graduated from Columbia University. He worked in consulting at Cornerstone Research prior to starting SlantShack.

The SlantShack dream began in a small kitchen, under a slant-roof apartment in New York City, where nine friends gathered to create the tastiest, healthiest jerky imaginable. Made from 100% Grass-Fed Beef, organic spices & non-GMO, preservative-free marinades, SlantShack offers a tender, steak-like bite previously unknown to jerky. After sell out appearances at the Greenpoint Food Market & Smorgasburg, SlantShacks Jerky revolution started.

Today, SlantShack is recognized as a Certified B Corporation for its commitment to doing food right. SlantShack is sold at Whole Foods Market throughout the Tri-State Area & New England, airports nationally & a number of natural grocery stores.
