Job Description
Integral is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (DevOps) to join our operations team in the Union Square neighborhood of NYC. The Integral operations team manages the systems and networks for a globally distributed application platform to provide the brand protection and ROI services to our customers. We work closely with our team of software engineers and data scientists to ensure that our platform continues to be scalable and reliable.
Must Haves:
- Must have at least 5 years of Linux systems engineering experience in a web-centric environment
- Ability to tune Linux kernel parameters to optimize performance
- Desire to automate anything you have to do more than once and are proficient in either Chef or Puppet
- Able to write shell scripts and code in Ruby, Perl, or Python
- Experience managing Cisco, Juniper or HP network equipment with a strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies
- Experience with various types of load balancing technologies
- Experience supporting a Java-based application running on Tomcat
- Experience managing MySQL servers including tuning, replication, and backups
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and remain calm under pressure
- A thirst for knowledge and continuous improvement
Pluses:
- Experience setting up and optimizing BGP routing
- Experience working with Amazon AWS (EC2, ELB, S3, Glacier)
- Experience with digital advertising technologies
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Apache Hadoop
- Experience with IPVS/LVS
This position is located in New York, NY. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
Salary/Equity compensation commensurate on experience.
