By the end of this year, the number of US tablet users will have doubled, to nearly 70 million. eMarketer projects that by 2015, over half of all internet users will log onto the web via their tablet. And the good news for marketers and publishers is two-fold: Studies show tablet ads are more effective than mobile and sometimes even desktop. And Nielsen has reported that tablet owners are more comfortable paying for content. Is this great news for publishers and content producers… or just a mirage?
