The NYTECH UX Group is kicking off the new year with a LIVE debate between two leading gamification experts--Marc Resnick, professor of human factors in information design at Bentley University and the founder of Usability Solutions, and Ankit Shah, behavioral design expert and strategic consultant at Dopamine Inc. Going head to head, they will debate on the merits and drawbacks of gamification--when, why and how should we or shouldn't we use gamification in user experience design?
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the live debate though their smartphones. No matter what your experience level is with gamification, this is one session you shouldn't miss!

SPEAKER BIOS
Marc Resnick is a prrofessor in human factors and information design at Bentley University in Waltham, MA and founder of Usability Solutions. Prior to joining Bentley, Marc spent 25 years in Miami, where he founded Usability Solutions and served as professor of human factors at Florida International University and as Director of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center's Institute for Technology Innovation. He has worked with organizations of all sizes, including NASA's Kennedy Space Center on the Space Shuttle Program and pre-launch startups in the tech sector. He received his BS from Tufts University in Engineering Psychology and Engineering Management and has a MS and PhD from the University of Michigan in Industrial Engineering.
Ankit Shah is a behavioral design expert who leads strategy and consulting at Dopamine Agency. With a strong academic/research background and a wide portfolio ranging from Fortune 50 clients to leading venture-backed startups; he has helped develop multiple winning solutions in the engagement space. He also travels extensively to deliver talks expounding on his ideas on designing for humans first and the advent of the educational revolution through distributed learning initiatives. He attended the University of Pennsylvania and was a former student of Professor Werbach of Coursera Gamification Course fame and currently resides in the NYC metro area.
