Join us for a discussion of ethics & integrity in tech with a Senior Software Engineer from Google! Grab a soda, wine, or beer & join us for a special discussion with Michael Schidlowsky (bio below).
Talk Description: When we consider ethics in tech, we often think about encryption, privacy, & hacking. To go a little deeper, Michael will use some thought experiments derived from everyday tech (e.g. trading off user privacy for profitability) to discuss how to measure & enforce your own value system. Michael will also touch on how value systems or guiding philosophy trickle down from a company's leadership to the code you will ship every day.
